期待三年之久，全球搖滾天團聯合公園終於推出全新專輯"烈日千陽"這次表現出濃濃的反戰意識。
創作靈感來自被稱為美國“原子彈之父”的物理學家羅伯特‧奧本海默(J. Robert Oppenheimer)，在史上第一顆原子彈試爆時想起了印度著名史詩，引用所說出的一段名句：「If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One」(如果一千個太陽的光芒被爆裂一次飛向天空，那就會如同一個輝煌的堅強)
